FOOTBALL FEDERATION NT SPORTS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
We are pleased to provide information regarding the Football Federation NT (FFNT) Sports Development Program offered at SEDA Group (SEDA). An information night will be held for prospective students and their parents wishing to find out more about SEDA and the FFNT Program (details are at the bottom of this page).
At FFNT, we see the value of educational opportunities that benefit young people with a passion for sport and, as such, we wanted to ensure that information about the SEDA program is shared with our young members.
Applications for the FFNT Sports Development Program are now open for 2017!
The program provides students in Years 11 and 12 with
opportunity to complete their secondary education and obtain nationally
The SEDA Program is committed to providing students with:
UNIQUE INDUSTRY OPPORTUNITIES AND EXPERIENCES
The program consists of challenging theoretical and practical lessons embedded in the sport industry. SEDA combines curriculum in coaching methods, skill based training, sports science, fitness, event management and other sport related topics into our senior secondary programs. The teaching staff work directly with industry experts from partner organisations in the development and delivery of curriculum.
CAREER PLANS AND PATHWAY SUPPORT
SEDA works with students to develop a personal plan, where they support their journey through the final years of the program and explore the range of options available to them, whether that is further study or looking to start work. SEDA has partnerships with universities and TAFEs nationally, which provide a range of university pathway options for SEDA graduates.
HANDS-ON LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
SEDA brings learning to life, where students get to apply
what they’re learning in real life settings, often connected to the leading
sports partners that work with them. Students undertake work placements to
better understand the world of work and test career possibilities.
A POSITIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
Students are given the time to mature and develop the
personal attributes that will help them be successful in both their personal
and professional lives.
Please note a selection process will be conducted by SEDA staff for students to be accepted into the program. Selection into the Sports
Development Program is not dependent on sports skill or ability.
