INDONESIA'S Kupang won a hard-fough match in the Timor Sea Cup, defeating the determined Dili Benfica 3-2.
Dili midfielder Jefry went close with a right-foot shot from a 25 metre free kick in the 28th minute.
Dili keeper Simaun recieved a yellow card after he brought down Kupang striker Ronaldo in the 32nd minute well outside the penalty area.
Two minutes into the second half Dili opened the scoring through Jefry after Kupang keeper Alfredo had tipped a shot onto the cross bar from close range.
The equaliser came three minutes later when Alfian followed up on a through ball and fired a left-foot shot under the advancing Simaun.
In the 58th minute Klemen put Kupang ahead tucking in a neat shot at the near post from a corner by Brendon. Klemen's speed down the right proved effective again 10 minutes from time when keeper Simaun was unable to hold ontp the winger's power right-foot shot.
Dili's Jose Manuel pulled a goal back in the 79th minute to set up a pulsating final 10 minutes.
