What is the National Training Centre Program?

Football Northern Territory's National Training Centre (NTC) program provide opportunities for the talented girls and boys within the Northern Territory to develop their skills and ability through a game related approach to training. This program is intended to prepare and identify the players from the NT who have the potential to be a future national team member. In 2019 we are determined to provide more opportunities for the talented children in the NTC to represent the Northern Territory here, interstate and elsewhere.

This program is especially designed for boys and girls aged between 7 years to 14 years, where young players can be trained and prepared for games at the highest levels.

The Academy is managed by Football Northern Territory, which is led by FNT’s Technical Director John Tambouras. John is a born and bred Territorian who played professionally for 18 years in Australia, Europe and Asia. He is the only Territorian to ever play in the A-League, UEFA Champion’s League and EUROPA League. John is an accredited FFA/AFC B License Coach and Skill Acquisition Specialist and has been the NT Technical Director for 18 months.
