| BRIEF CLUB HISTORY: |
The Club was formed as Port Darwin Soccer Club in 1996 from the merger of the Parap Junior Soccer Club and the St. Mary’s Junior Soccer Club.
The Club colours of maroon and sky blue were adopted at that time. The Waratahs Soccer Club for senior players commenced in 2002. In 2004, the Club entered into an agreement with the Waratahs Club to see if the Clubs could link the juniors of Port Darwin and the senior teams of Waratahs.
The association was judged to be successful, and in 2006 the senior teams of Waratahs commenced competition under the new club name of Port Darwin Football Club, wearing the colours of maroon and sky blue. |
