Super 7’s and Fantastic 5’s: All you need to know

Super 7’s and Fantastic 5’s is the 16-week competition starting from mid-October designed to provide the opportunity to play football all year round. We know how passionate you are about our sport and we want to celebrate your passion by arranging football all year round. In Super 7’s and Fantastic 5’s, we’ve got football for all.

Season Information:

The season is going to be 16 weeks long with 2 parts: pre-Christmas and post-Christmas. Pre-Christmas season will go from mid-October to mid-December comprising of 8 weeks and post-Christmas season will go from mid-January to mid-March with another block of 8 weeks.
A half season registration is available if you only wish to play for 8 weeks, but you must choose which 8-week block you play in, pre-Christmas or post-Christmas.

Playing Kit:

Teams are required to wear matching playing kits. Players may wear their existing club kit if they wish to do so. If there is clash in playing kit, the away team will be provided with bibs by Competition Administrator.

What do players get?

Players who are registered for Super 7’s and Fantastic 5’s get following:
  • Stadium venue pitches under lights
  • Player insurance
  • All equipment provided
  • Match officials (referees)

Week 6: Week of 19th November
Week 7: Week of 26th November
Week 8: Week of 3rd December
Christmas and New Year Break
Week 9: Week of 14th January
Week 10: Week of 21st January
Week 11: Week of 28th January
Week 12: Week of 4th February
Week 13: Week of 11th February
Week 14: Week of 18th February
Week 15: Week of 25th February
Week 16: Week of 4th March

Fantastic 5’s

Short format football for MiniRoos with 5-a-side competition. Fantastic 5’s is divided into 3 different age categories:
  • Under 6 and 7
  • Under 8 and 9
  • Under 10 and 11
All games will be played at Darwin Football Stadium under lights. Game times will be confirmed once team registrations have been finalised.
The National MiniRoos Playing Format and Rules will be used, but the game times will be changed to 15-minute halves. More information about the MiniRoos Format and Rules can be found here:

Team registration for Fantastic 5’s:

All MiniRoos players must register to participate in the Fantastic 5’s as this is a different competition than the dry season.
Players need to register to the club “FFNT Socials” in the correct package via MyFootballClub (self registration guideline can be downloaded here) and submit 1 team nomination form per team. The team nomination form (download here) must be submitted by team manager before COB 10 October 2018 to admin@footballnt.com.au.
Each team must pay a one-off $20 non-refundable team entry fee.

Registration fees for Fantastic 5’s (per person):

  1. Full Season:
  • Under 6/7 : $100
  • Under 8/9 : $100
  • Under 10/11 : $100
  1. Half Season:
  • Under 6/7 : $60
  • Under 8/9 : $60
  • Under 10/11 : $60

Super 7’s

For those who are competitive and do not want to hang up their boots. Super7’s is a social 7-a-side competition and is divided into following categories:
All the rules and competition specific information can be found here (Super 7’s Competition Rules) and where possible, referees will be provided.
Team registration for Super 7’s:
All players must register to participate in the Super 7’s as this is a different competition than the dry season.

Wet Weather Policy:

Games will only be cancelled due to severe weather (lightning or cyclone) and will be at the discretion of the competition administrator or referee. Games will be played in the rain. No refunds will be given for games cancelled due to weather.
